Site Technical Difficulties

If you have been commenting on the site and wondering why the comment had not posted, or if you have completed the “contact” form and not received a response from me yet, I want to offer my apologies! It would seem that my server decided to take a shit on me during the holiday season; coal for Christmas rather than something useful.

It would appear that the server was having some MySQL database problems, as well as additional issues with Postfix. Both of these problems went unnoticed; I was completely unaware of these issues until just recently. I am fairly certain I’ve reconciled the technical difficulties with the server, so hopefully commenting and form’ing is all back to normal.

I just flushed the comment moderation queue. If you recently posted a comment then chances are it is now live on the site, assuming it was not flagged as spam or I did not manually mark it as such. Additionally, if you completed the contact form recently, but had not gotten a response from me, I just received an assload of email. Please hang in there while I sift through the extraordinary amount of email that just flooded my inbox.

Odd, but no biggie. Sorry to hear it happened though…what a pain in the neck for you.

In any case…I figured I’d go ahead and say now (in case I forget later)…
