Matt Damon as James Kirk in Star Trek XI 4
According to IMDB, Matt Damon has signed on to star as young James T. Kirk in Star Trek XI, which is being directed by Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams. The movie is due for release in 2008 and appears as if it will be more of a prequel than sequel.

World Trade Center, September 13, 2001 4
These photographs were taken at the site of the World Trade Center on September 13, 2001. The photographer was apparently allowed in to the area by a member of the emergency response crew, during the time when just about every civilian was not allowed to enter the area. The photographs are probably some of the best close-up shots ever taken of the horrifying destruction of that fateful day.
