Looks like a great idea. I really should start looking at AJAX. I know XML; I know Javascript but I guess I should look at combining them.

Anyway, yeah… Great idea. I would like more control over the sidebar on my (incomplete) site. Looking at the source of the pages using widgets, I like how all the sidebar sections are now wrapped in the same styles. The sb-* style is nice but it makes writing a nice CSS that works with IE a little messy. Trouble is, I imagine a lot of themes would need to be update with new styles etc.
