Tone Misinterpreted In Email

Tone is misinterpreted in just about half of all email sent. This means that one has about a 50-50 chance of ascertaining the tone the author was using when composing an e-mail message, which leads to flame wars for no reason. I have seen this in action on more than one occasion. Without the facial and verbal cues that the voice and face provide, it is sometimes difficult to determine sarcasm and emotion. There needs to be a good way to fix this “problem” in email.
