deviantART Icon 2K5 1
After running a four week contest that involved the community in helping create a “set” of new deviantART Icons for me we now have a Grand Prize Winner. The winning icon set is as follows:
The winning artist received a 1 year deviantART subscription as well as a 512MB iPod Shuffle, provided by yours truly.
I want to thank all the participants for their exciting entries. Without the wonderful contest submissions from all then this would not have been nearly as exciting as it turned out to be!

Sports Day 3
Anthony’s elementary school had its annual “Sports Day” festival on Saturday. It was a fairly warm day as we sat on the side of the schoolyard and watched all the kids perform in various sporting events as well as a dance here and there.
In the one race that Anthony was all psyched about he ended up coming in fourth place, which he was bummed about. At the end of the day his team, White, ended up beating out the Red team in order to claim victory for the year and bragging rights through next May.
Jimmy and Mari came with us and hung out . Jimmy, being the camera god that he is, shot a number of pictures that I do not yet have. Once he hooks a brutha up I will add more to the pool so that we can see some decent shots other than these horribly small ones coming out of my PowerShot S300.
Overall it was a fun day for all involved. When the events ended we all headed down to the beach for a BBQ with some friends. Talk about a relaxing weekend!
