Things will be, for the most part, silent here for the next couple of days. We are heading up to the in-laws house to spend the New Years with them and enjoy some good food and relaxation. More than likely I will post a picture or two while away but that will be about it.
Happy New Year to all! See you in 2K5.
I just finished donating $10 to UNICEF in order to help the survivors of the horrible 9.0 magnitude earthquake that has killed 80,000 people. While $10 does not sound like loads of money it is an amount that will help in the long run. Imagine if everyone in your school class or work department donated that amount. That could, with an average of 30 people in a class or department, quickly turn in to $300! Then, with multiple classes or departments donating that amount you can see how the exponential value of the donation will increase dramatically.
It is a small donation that in the grand scheme of things will make a difference to people that are hanging on to their life by the smallest of strings.
Sadly, but I have to admit that this is the first time I have donated to a cause like this. Living in the same region that has been affected was one of my reasons but, ultimately, not the one that pushed me over the edge. All the stories of the devastation and the fact that 80,000+ people have perished as a result of this monstrosity are what made me decide to help these victims as opposed to others.
I really feel good about donating to this cause. Hopefully others will as well and we can all aid in getting these people back on their feet again. It will take years for this wound to heal but with our help it can be done!

Just picked up my Nintendo DS today. Should be fun to play some games again! I am really looking forward to whooping up on some friends while playing Madden 2005 for the DS.
I started out by getting Spider-Man 2 (DS), Grand Theft Auto (GBA), Backyard Basketball (GBA) and Ty 2 (GBA). There was only 1 DS game available for purchase so that is why I got so many GameBoy Advance games as opposed to DS games. Madden 2005 for the DS will be ordered online here momentarily!
After I play with this baby for a bit I will offer my thoughts on it. For now, however, all I have to say is that Spider-Man 2 was kicking my non-game-playing ass all over the place.
The Information Assurance Department at the Regional Network Operations and Security Center, Far East had a small year end party at the brand new TGI Fridays in Yokosuka. The restaurant just opened up on December 10 so this was our first time venturing in to the three-story establishment.
You can see “The Professor” here holding up his pink “female” drink for everyone to see. He is proud of his feminine side that allows him to drink such “pretty” drinks.
Overall we had a good time even though we started really early and finished even earlier. Was good to get out with the guys and enjoy some good food, good drinks and good company.

We just returned from the wonderfully delicious crab restaurant I previously spoke about. This place, up in Yokohama near Tony Romas in the Washington Hotel, is just exquisite. I do not think I could put another piece of food in my mouth otherwise I risk having it be spit right back out due to lack of room!
We ate a course meal that was filled with nothing but crab and sensuality. The food could not have tasted better and there could not have been more. It almost got to the point where it became too much food until, suddenly, a scoop of ice cream appeared out of nowhere as if to signify the end of the feast.
We had an enjoyable dining experience. Check out the few photos from our time eating as I got some shots of the food.
If you ever get the opportunity I suggest checking this place out!
Today is my thirty-fourth birthday. I do not really feel like I am getting old even though my age would have you believe otherwise. Unfortunately I ended up having to work today (still at work as a matter of fact) because of a hospital appointment that I had this morning. All turned out quite well actually.
Will probably be heading out to this wonderful crab restaurant tonight for my “birthday dinner” with the family. Have not fully decided yet but things are leaning in that direction. I took Junko there for her birthday and we had a blast eating all the good food so I think I will partake in the same festivities.
Happy Birthday to myself! w00t for more age!
