Apparently that is difficult to grasp.
When someone defies deviantART law then they will be banned because they abused our trust and therefore we must react. Illegally park your car then you get a parking ticket that you must pay. Speed and get pulled over by the Highway Patrol then you get a speeding ticket. Those whose job is to uphold the law have no choice but to react to those who break it.
The same applies at deviantART. We have our Policy Violation Team that handles instances of policy violators as well as the Core Staff who is also capable of managing these breaches.
We do this because we must. Without law there would be chaos. Without policy enforcement on deviantART then there would be pandemonium.
Contrary to popular belief the administration does not sit around hitting “random deviant” and then instituting a ban on whatever deviant was selected. We do not delete deviations just because we think it is a lot more fun than a night out on the town with our friends. The staff does not ban deviants who disagree with them. It would be wonderful if everything was so black and white now wouldn’t it?
It is not as if the entire staff is sitting around a poker table and rather than using poker chips we have cards with deviant names on them and the winner, at the end of the night, gets to ban or delete deviations from the deviants whose cards they have. While that might sound like a fun thing to do it surely is the last thing on our minds.
Here is an example of a ludicrous thought pattern that runs across many deviants minds for Gods only knows what reason other than selfish motivation:
“Jark sucks Take that immaturity and shove it up your ass, DA. It must be nice to just ban everyone who realizes you’re a jack ass who doesn’t actually do anything except hate on anime and anthro artists.”
Thoughts like these are so far out in left field, away from the truth, that they are almost laughable.
I am not trying to change anyone’s mind here. If you want to be ignorant enough to believe such stupidity then that is all on you. The fact is that the staff has better things to do than pick bones with the masses or go on random deletion sprees.
Take your head out of the collective rectum for more than thirty seconds and you will see the truth … that you are more interested in furthering your own agenda rather than ensuring the survivability of an entire community of artists and art lovers.[s]

Ok listen to me.. for ONCE! If you can even do that. Im not going to all the admins for WHATEVER section they control… because YOU control THEM!
This is about this new action by the admins… how.. the HELL do they have the permission.. or ABILITY To touch.. ANYONES ARTWORK!? HUH?! If someone uploaded something in the wrong section… then they should warn them to move it.. or else it will be moved. I strongly disagree with the ability to Delete peoples artwork!
My friend LOST her OWN ARTWORK because YOUR admins decided to delete it and tell her that it was in the wrong spot. These pictures were over a year old… and since then. .her computer crashed… and she lost everything.. But.. DA had her artwork.. so she thought she was ok… Until your admins went and deleted her art, then gave her a warning for submitting it in the wrong section…. Oh.. it was only OVER A YEAR OLD! And now.. that artwork is forever GONE!
You want to sit there and protect the artists right.. do you? Mean while.. you believe that its the admins rights to fuck with other artist artwork!? I DON’T CARE IF ITS WRITTEN IN YOUR STUPID RULES!!! NO ONE BUT THE ARTISTS SHOULD BE ALOUD TO TOUCH THEIR OWN ARTWORK FOR SUCH A STUPID REASON AS IT BEING IN THE WRONG SECTION!!
Jesus Christ. What happened to just posting your art for fun.. I want to actually know your background. Why is Jark the runner of DA? What are you.. do you even have a background in ANYTHING art related? Anything at all!? If its just because you can do computers and have the ability to make and website like this…. does not mean you should. If you don’t know anything about art.. (Which you have YET to prove to me that you do) I think that you making this site was a very bad idea…. Even after you hired artists… If you don’t understand what artist feel and what goes through our minds.. then I don’t think you should of made this site. And no.. I wont ever kiss your butt for making it. I dont’ care. Only admins who treat people fairly.. and respect EVERYONE on their site… get my respect… I don’t think you deserve anyone’s…
Anyway.. i hope maybe you talk to your admins… because.. seriously.. this is getting out of hand. Removing a furry picture from the anthro section… and saying it doesn’t belong there..?.. then where? hmm? Oh wait.. the TRASH right?! hahaha.. . u.u.. I hear to much trash everyday by artists about THIS site.. and you know what.. NONE OF IT IS GOOD!!! NONE!!
I do hope that maybe I was misinformer about someone getting their anthro picture removed from the anthro section.. and i know that isn’t -your- job… but still.. Your admins reflect off you.
What bothers me most about communication of this nature is not the obvious dismissal of our written policies that have been in effect for years but the writers blatant personal attacks on me and my qualifications to run deviantART. As if they have the slightest idea what is involved in running a show even 1/10th the size of deviantART much less deviantART itself.
Unfortunately it will never stop. At least it does fill the day with laughter because it is always fun to laugh at the absurd.

yellow[alien]probedI know for a fact that I have never focused a sole journal entry to anyone much less the ninja master himself. Those who have no clue who that is are, well, fucking clueless and need to go buy one at the local discount shop.
… for I am talking about $spyed aka Angelo.
Me and Angelo met back in our #mp3 days on irc.dmusic.com, when we were both running MP3 websites. Angelo was running Dimension Music while I was running CyberTropix. Back then we both thought of each other as complete pricks. Oh, the early days!
In the seven-some-odd years that we have known and worked with each other we have yet to meet. Personally, I think it is because he fj34rs the green[anal]probe, as any normal human should. But when you really think about all that we have accomplished together it really is quite interesting that we have yet to meet. Hopefully that will happen soon; I think he’s planning a “I wanna get my ass kicked” trip out here, thinking he gots some skills.
No matter how many times I get pissed at the little rat bastard it really is because in some abstract way that we are “married,” in a hetero-sexual kinda way, you know? We argue as if we find each other despicable but the balance that comes about from these arguments benefits the community so much more than you will ever imagine. One thing we do not do, thank god, is have that awesome make up sex after our quarrels!
I just proofread this journal so far and it makes no real sense. Just know that $spyed is da man and that without him the site would not be what it is today.
With all that said, it is time for some prescription medication (not to be taken with alcohol) and some Hpnotiq.[s]…

yellow[alien]probedThe *MAIN PAGE DAILY TOP FAVORITES* is back to depicting one deviation from each gallery. In addition, the anime and anthro sections within IndyArt *ARE ELIGIBLE* once again. This is a *TEMPORARY* remedy while we continue to work on a better methodology for selecting what favorites are displayed on the *MAIN PAGE*
I chose to take this route because I wanted to allow anime and anthro their chances to be depicted while offering the less popular galleries, such as poetry and prose, a fair chance at being in the *MAIN PAGE DAILY TOP FAVORITES*.
Again, this is a *TEMPORARY* remedy. The trust metric, and other associated algorithms, are taking longer to work out due to the amount of development and infrastructure work that we have on our plate.
This modification should soothe most folks because all galleries reside on a level playing field thanks to this “fix.”[s]…
