I just finished reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Excellent book, I must say. It had me riveted from the first page all the way through the final words.
It was not the underlying story within the book that had me intrigued but, rather, the various symbolic and obvious references to secret societies, the Church and Mary Magdalene. I find it very interesting how there exists a certain sect of people who believe what they do about her.
…I think that after reading this book I am going to do some research in to how she fits in with history, the Bible, Christ and what not. By no means do I consider myself a religious person so do not, for an instant, think this has anything to do with that. I am undertaking this endeavor out of intrigue and a quest for knowledge.
If you have any information, or links, to share then by all means….

… that is the question. I so need a laptop but do not have the funds for it at this point. However, if I do come across some extra fundage I am seriously thinking about “switching” to Apple hardware.
The PowerBook G4 17″ is astonishly sexifying. While being slightly expensive I believe that it will be well worth it. Based on the comparisons I have made of similar offerings by Sony, Compaq, HP, Toshiba, Dell and Gateway, I just do not see why I should not go the “switch” route.
My needs for a laptop are the following:
15″ WUXGA or greater screen
Mobile P4 1.7Ghz
1GB RAM
60GB 5400RPM HDD
DVD-RW/CD-RW
Integrated 802.11B/G (possibly via the Centrino package)
That is all I ask for. Granted it might be a bit much but I intend for this laptop to be around for years to come therefore it needs to be the best of the existing breed.
Because of this, and based on my comparisons of other laptops, it seems that the Apple PowerBook G4 17″ is the best of the breed for the price point.
Someone want to buy me a laptop? …

So I am here reading “The Da Vinci Code” and came across the following, which had me rolling on the floor laughing. BTW, so far this is an excellent book, of which I have completed roughly 30% of.
“Actually, Da Vinci was in tune with the balance between male and female. He believed that a human soul could not be enlightened unless it had both male and female elements.”
“You mean like chicks with dicks?” someone called.
It is good to know that I am not the only one that would have remarked back with the same statement!…

Splish, splash, I was taking a bath, long about a Saturday night. Interesting take on an oldie but goodie.
3D sidewalk art at its best. Very interesting pictures of some exceptionally cool street paintings.
What more is there to say about this than the first thing that comes to mind when you see it?
Send back all them MP3’s that the RIAA says you stole!
PMS Alert for those who are so plugged-in that they need software to monitor their cycle.
Reality check for those who think they live in a fantasy world….

ASCII Farts is a throwback to the beautiful days of ASCII art. Gotta love things like this!
Oh, the days of ANSI and ASCII art; how I longed to download them monthly iCE and ACiD art packs back in the real days….
