my personal website is in need of a new layout. i’m thinking something yellow alien-like but at the same time following along this grey/white/black look that i really adore. anyone have any layout ideas or interested in helping out then drop me a comment here. i’ll hook up some subscriptions and possibly goods (from daprints, amazon, etc…) depending on how much i like the design and how much of a help you are.

this has got to be the best, and most intruiging, explanation of The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded that I have read to date. Very enlightening and, in reality, caused me to change many of my opinions regarding the direction of the story.
Without a doubt, everyone that is in to The Matrix needs to read this.

so i finally got a chance to see the matrix reloaded last night, in an advance screening for which i purchased tickets earlier in the week.
my first thoughts after seeing the movie: whoa
if you have not yet seen the movie then i suggest that you stop reading now because there are spoilers.
now, rather than attempt to dissect the plot and whatnot, i just would like to list some of the thoughts that came to mind after watching it. these do not necessarily represent what i believe, or do not believe, but are merely added for discussion.
1. is there a matrix within the matrix? for that 0.001% of the population that is incapable of handling the real matrix the machines built a matrix with the matrix. this gives that small percentage of “free minds” occupied. this would also explain how agent smith was capable of “infecting” a human and then being transported to that body within that human in zion (hence the ending).
2. morpheus is surprised that the war is not yet over. this should imply that zion has not yet fallen and, in fact, has not even been attacked yet.
3. the piece of candy that the oracle handed to neo appeared to be identical to the red pill from the matrix. neo never eats it although the oracle eats one.
4. neo receives a mysterios envelope that, when opened, reveals the spoon from the child in the matrix, suggesting that zion is not unplugged, as suggested by the matrix.
5. zion appears to be largely non-white, suggesting that when technology first revolted against the human race the countries that are mostly white (i.e. the US, japan, UK, etc…) would be the first to have fallen to the machines. countries in Africa, which do not rely on technology would obviously have been the last to be enslaved and therefore would have been in a better position to defend themselves. this suggests that the majority of those in zion would be from that area of the world, hence why the majority of the population is non-white.
6. is neo a program and not a human? does his handling of the sentinels at the end suggest this? if this is the case then that really makes the love scene between neo and trinity all the more interesting.
7. is the oracle a program and not a human or machine? that would explain her intimate knowledge of everyone.
8. the machines, in fact, do not want to harm the human race. they merely are attempting to figure out a way to ensure their survivability. why would the machines want to harm their only remaining power source?
9. the matrix triology is largely bhuddist in nature. neo, rather than being a christ-like figure, is actually a bhuddist figure who is on his path to enlightenment. this would explain why he always has questions and never seems to have answers. those familiar with bhuddism should follow that rationale.
10. why was neo forced to kiss as he kisses trinity?
