saw The Others the other day and found it an enjoyable movie. the pace was somewhat slow but overall it was a nice movie with a halfway decent ending.

bought some dvd’s lately: Vanilla Sky, From Hell. A Clockwork Orange and Oceans 11. probably will watch Vanilla Sky first, seeing as it is supposed to rock. tom cruise is a decent actor who generally makes good movies.

been playing around with hoverdesk alot more lately, especially now that i got my hands on a theme that i completely adore, which matches my existing desktop. hang in there for a screenshot to be released once it is tweaked up enough

been hanging out on eBay the past couple days. trying to build up my collection of Nightmare Before Christmas items. won an auction on some nifty salt and pepper shakers, a lava lamp, a tie and a couple other things. trying to get this wicked fossil watch set and tarot card deck. we’ll see how that turns out.

the past few weeks been hanging with a good friend of mine. must say that our relationship is developing more and more each day and its quite cool. hopefully this friendship lasts a long time.

must thank liq for the new batty icon. have no fear, however, as the alien still lurks inside.

went and saw Spider-Man last night and i must say that i totally enjoyed it. the storyline was a great way to bring the comic to the screen and the acting was fabulous. i must say that of all the comic books brought to the screen Spider-Man was done the best. the story was very fluid and the movie was well paced. the cg animation of Spider-Man “flying” through the city was a little odd looking and somewhat unrealistic in regards to the body movement but i did not mind that. it fit with the story very well. definitely recommend this movie if you have not seen it yet.

the site has slowed down, somewhat, over the course of the past couple days but we have solved some issues that alleviate this issue. hopefully everyone will not experience as much “downtime” any longer.

you know, its funny. here we are, running this large site at deviantART. being an admin is an awkward position. it is funny how many people automatically dislike the staff without actually attempting any interaction with them. its like, hey, you’re on staff so you are automatically an asshole. i challenge anyone to open up a site of their own and get it to where deviantART is today. only then, and only then, will you be able to completely comprehend what it takes to maintain the peace and order. this is not directed at everyone. those who it is directed at know who they are.

summer is almost here. cant wait to be hitting the beach each weekend. looking forward to a beer on the beach at midnight!

heading out to go fishing with the in-laws today. it is currently “golden week” here in japan, which is a big, week long, holiday. unfortunately the holiday does not affect me but it does the in-laws. anyhow, we’re going to drive for about 3 - 4 hours and have ourselves some fun.

if you are going to rip then please be honest when confronted with questions regarding the rip. lying to the admins, and the community, is not the smartest move in the world. saving face is about being honest, not lying. it is unfortunate that this “incident” occured but it might help more of the new folks within the community understand that ripping is evil and not tolerated. this might actually have been a blessing in disguise, so to speak.

anyhow…everyone enjoy themselves cause i know i am!
