still can not seem to get enough energy to do much of anything. seems that this medication, which is still in the “building up” stages is going to continue to make me tired until it finally gets to “that” point. how long it takes to get to that point appears to be somewhat of a debate. it appears that it will be anywhere between 1 - 3 weeks before the build-up is complete and the medication is working as designed. at that point i will probably not be feeling so sleepy.
we have some things planned for this week here around deviantART so hang in there. the long awaited Devvies are coming, believe it or not, where we will showcase the best of the best in deviantART-land. this year has been “hell” trying to put them together as its quite a feat to sift through 150000+ deviations in search for a mere few that “stand out” above the rest.

this week has been quite interesting. went to the docs office, this time an american one, who seems to think that i have anxiety. seems to somewhat coincide with the findings of the japanese female doctor i was seeing. ths guy put me on this medication called paxil as well as another one called ativan. paxil apparently takes some time to “build up” before it works but once it does its supposed to keep you level. ativan, on the otherhand, works almost immediate and relaxes you and levels you out quite quickly.
the combination appears to work well, though, with one side effect: its making me far too tired to do anything. i think i’ve slept more this week than ever. every day i’ve come home from work i’ve fallen asleep really early. totally unlike me. guess my body needs it.
so that is why you dont see much from me on deviantART this week. hopefully this weekend i can build up some energy to get things moving. this “tired” feeling isnt cool and needs to cease. although, at least i’m able to get through the day now!

What a fucked up night Friday turned out to be. Ended up going to More’s City with Rich and Greg. Mike Gilligan, from the Hakuba snowboarding adventure, stopped by for about 1 hour. Joedie ended up showing up a little later as well. Sat at the top of More’s and drank, drank and drank.
Got so drunk that Joedie had to drive me and my car back to his place. I chilled there for a couple hours and recuperated by just waiting as well as drinking some water. He has this massage chair that you could die for. Sat in that baby for the duration and I could have fallen asleep it was so damn relaxing!
I do not remember leaving Negishi housing area, which is where Joedie lives, but I do remember stopping on Route 16 to go to the bathroom. The scary part is that I do remember waiting at the exit of Negishi while they did something with some barricades. I remember proceeding through them while two cars awaited on the other side. What I do not remember is what the guards looked like, what looks, if any, they gave me, etc… Oh well … shit happens, right?
Had to piss like a racehorse while driving home. When in Rome do as the Romans … at least that is what I say! Well, I just stopped the car, got out, went behind some building and took a leak. What a wonderful feeling that ended up being. I do not ever remember feeling as relieved from urinating as I did during the 60-some-odd seconds it took to relieve myself. Immediately zipped up and got back in the car in order to complete this adventure.
Got home, parked, straight even and went up in to the house. Junko greeted me at the door and laughed at my somewhat drunken state. I immediately went upstairs, got in some sweatpants and a sweatshirt, brushed my teeth and jumped in bed. The last thing I remember was saying goodnight to Junko.
Saturday was hell because I had a massive hangover. Anthony, of course, woke up early and wanted to go downstairs to eat and watch TV. This meant that someone had to take care of the dogs. Who was that someone? Me. Why? Because I could not sleep to begin with. My head was pounding like a jackhammer during the middle afternoon and my stomach was on the teetering edge of rebellion.
I went downstairs and took care of everything. Anthony was talking to me although I was not really processing what he had to say. The only thoughts in my head were, “you need to talk softly because my head kills.” I laid down on the couch, struggling through my torment, and hoped that the feeling of uneasiness passed. It did not…
Decided that I should take some Tylenol Cold Medicine so that I could both breath and alleviate the pain associated with this massive hangover. As I was about to take the medication I was overcome with this overwhelming feeling of nausea! I ran to the bathroom and, as we have all done before, chilled on the floor while praying to the Porcelain God. Thankfully I did not vomit as about 10 minutes of time allowed the queasiness to subside. Ran back to the living room and chilled on the couch for 15 minutes, after which I decided to chug down the medication.
About 15 minutes after taking the Tylenol Cold Medicine my head pain, from the hangover, started to go away thank God. I laid on the couch and quickly fell asleep until who knows what time. What a rough way to end a captivating evening.
It sucks, the price we have to pay just for a night of fun.

went on a spur of the moment trip to an onsen in atami, japan. an onsen, for those that are unschooled, is a hot springs. we decided, at the last minute, to head out late saturday and stay overnight at a comfortable resort in atami. jumped in the car around 1pm and drove for about 3 - 4 hours until we got to our destination.
when we reached atami we drove to a couple hotels but finally settled on this expensive one; the most famous hotel there. cost us 18000yen per person, half price for anthony, for the room, 2 meals and a dinner show. was well worth the cost and, in fact, was roughly the same it would have been if we went to a cheap hotel and then bought dinner and breakfast ourselves.
the whole place was fabulous and magnificent. dinner was awesome with a great show. the hot springs was as refreshing as it was hot and the overall atmosphere was wicked.
sunday turned out to be a great day so we were able to walk around the huge grounds that the hotel sits on. today was actually the first real t-shirt day of the year and it was great. i was out walking around the hotel, snapping photos, all while representing deviantART!
was great to be away from deviantART for a while, in all honesty. while i do feel slightly guilty for saying that it is the truth. this place is major stress and being able to get out and relax is wonderful. might have to do this more often seeing as it was a relieving experience.
took like 150 pictures in the day we were gone. only about 75, or so, were worth it. have a look at the whole set right here: [link]

been taking this new medication for my stomach but it does not seem to be helping much at all. could just be my fragile little mind, but i am still feeling quite uncomfortable. it really sucks to be living in this “pain,” on a daily basis. i feel, sometimes, as if i am doomed for some reason. imagine it will change and things will get better eventually but its going to be a rough time until that happens. oh well…

docs office
went for the follow-up appointment today, to receive the final results of the day in hell as well as some other blood work. all in all it went very uneventful. nothing substantial came out of the visit. the doctor said that she saw one result that she wanted to follow up on. so, with that said, i proceeded to get another blood test and a urinalysis just to make sure nothing funky is going on. got some new medication and will return to the docs in 1 month for the follow-up to this follow-up.
