Seems that the move has done us quite well. Site is zipping along just fine, people are commenting and more art than ever is being submitted. All the childish whining that used to take place during the bandwidth crisis seems to have all but disappeared, which is definitely for the better. The general morale here has improved dramatically.
Been trying my hand at Photoshop lately. Starting to get the hang of a few things. Still have a long way to go but nonetheless I am playing. Nowhere near as good in PS as I am with other applications so I just gotta keep playing.
Anyhow, thinking about buying a PS2. Need a DVD player and also wanna play Crazy Taxi in the comfort of my own home, possibly while half butt-ass nekkid! We shall see….

Well deviantART has finally moved to the new servers. Let the naysayers whine and cry, cause they will continue to do so, no matter what. It makes no difference though, because finally, after three months, deviations display faster than Carl Lewis crossing the finish line of a 100 meter dash.
Let the games begin, because deviantART will only get better from here on out!…

Things appear to be looking up finally. The deviantART IRC channel has been moved to our own, brand new, IRC network that is run on our own servers. The updated data is almost done being mirrored - an extra 2GB of data was submitted since the last update, therefore it will take a little time, based on available bandwidth. In any event, the slow cutover to real bandwidth has begin!
Today is the birthday (Oct 13) of my closest and dearest friend. We have known each other for over 10 years so this is quite an accomplishment! I want to thank this person for putting up with the long hours at the office and the long hours spent realizing a dream: deviantART!

when will people learn that the staff loves art and is not out to screw them over? guess that nobody cares that we are real people, with real feelings, who spend countless hours each day while administering the site.
