today was the birthday of a very special person in my life. someone so close to me that only a few of us, on deviantART anyhow, know what it feels like to have someone this close. went out for dinner with some friends and had ourselves a great time. i must say a hearty thanks to deviot and nami for joining us as we all had tons of fun, even though that waitress was a total hoochie momma.
anyhow…it all started back on august 23, 1994 and here we are, seven years later. quite an intriguing passing of time thus far. one of the most prolific, eye-opening, heart-dropping experiences that anyone will ever have to endure. its been great and i expect it to only become greater.

cool things happening now:
1. deviantART is now fully owned and operated by deviantART Inc, which is a limited liability company. this means we are finally free to do as we see fit with the site!
2. deviantART Inc. is not only owned by us but also by a couple of very exciting guys, who have some major experience in the “big leagues.” expect an announcement regarding just who these guys are sometime next week.
had a cool week with my mother, since she came to visit here in japan. went to disneyland, saw planet of the apes, went to a mikoshi carnival and more. all in all it was a great time. seeing as it had been 2 years since we last saw each other it goes without saying that i missed her, and do now that she is back stateside.
anyhow, we turn 1 next week. can you believe it? …
